Markus Arbenz, Rog\u00e9rio Dias, Robert Jordan e Maria Beatriz Martins Costa<\/p><\/div>\n

February 14, in Nuremberg – Germany, Marcus Arbenz, IFOAM Executive Director, and Maria Beatriz Martins Costa, Planeta Organico Executive Director, have agreed that Planeta Organico will be IFOAM\u2019s local representative at Rio+20 and Green Rio next June 2012, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.<\/p>\n

IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) will also be present at Green Rio, the event organized by Planeta Org\u00e2nico that will take place at the\u00a0Convention Center of Rio Stock Exchang<\/strong>, June 19-20, during the Rio+20 week.<\/p>\n

Rogerio Dias, Coordinator of Agreocology Dept of Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture was also in this meeting in Nuremberg, when it the importance of organic agriculture in Green Economy was discussed.<\/p>\n

Also representing IFOAM were present Robert Jordan and Flavia Castro, and both believe that IFOAM can contribute for Brazil to project internationally its image of country committed with sustainable development, optimizing the mega events that will take place in Brazil in the next years.<\/p>\n

In June-2012 special edition of the magazine\u00a0Org\u00e2nicos & Cia<\/strong> there will be an exclusive interview of Markus Arbenz regarding the partnership Organic Agriculture & Green Economy.<\/p>\n

Afonso Florence, Minister of Agricultural Development) received Claudio Langone (representing Min. of Sports), Arnoldo de Campos (Income and Value Added Director - Ministry of Agrarian Development) and Maria Beatriz Martins Costa (Planeta Org\u00e2nico\u2019s Director) in a meeting to introduce Organic and Sustainable World Cup initiative in Brazil<\/p><\/div>\n

The core group \u201cOrganic and Sustainable World Cup\u201d (Copa Org\u00e2nica e Sustentavel), coordinated by Ministry of Agrarian Develpment, is conducting meetings with the Ministries, introducing initiatives that will be part of the Sustainable and Organic Cup. Meetings with the Ministries of Agricultural Development, Sports, Tourism, Social Development and Hunger Defeat, Environment, Agriculture and Food Supplies have been held. Planeta Org\u00e2nico and is a member of the core group of \u201cOrganic and Sustainable World Cup\u201d (Copa Org\u00e2nica e Sustentavel).<\/p>\n
