The SEBRAE Structuring Project for Amazon Forest-based Cosmetics carried out an International Mission in Italy (Cosmoprof Fair) and in France, in March 2016.<\/p>\n

SEBRAE Amazonas\u2019 Director-Superintendent, A\u00e9cio Ferreira da Silva, was the head of this delegation, which was composed of representatives from six States in the Amazon region: Amazonas (Wanderl\u00e9ia Oliveira, Ligia Silva and Maria Jos\u00e9 Alves), Acre (Dikison Rodrigues), Amap\u00e1 (Lindetti Ferreira), Par\u00e1 (Jos\u00e9 Antono Dias), Roraima (Rodrigo da Rosa) and Tocantins (Flavia Bolsonaro).<\/p>\n

The National SEBRAE was represented by Krishna de Faria.<\/p>\n

Jo\u00e3o Matos, the Project\u2019s consultant, accompanied and supported the delegation throughout the Mission.<\/p>\n

Planeta Org\u00e2nico was responsible for organizing and coordinating the meetings held in France, in Paris and Chartres.<\/p>\n

PARIS<\/strong><\/p>\n

On March 22, 2016, a presentation of the SEBRAE Structuring Project for Amazon Forest-based Cosmetics was given at the Brazilian Embassy in Paris.<\/p>\n

Roberto Doring, Head of the Commercial Sector at the Brazilian Embassy in Paris, welcomed those present and stressed the importance of a closer relationship between Brazil and France, in a sector in which Brazil has the wealth of the Amazon biodiversity and France holds the technology in the cosmetics area.<\/p>\n

Next, Maria Beatriz Martins Costa, director of Planeta Org\u00e2nico, gave the presentation of the project for an audience that included journalists, cosmetics sector entrepreneurs, researchers and investors.<\/p>\n

After Maria Beatriz\u2019s presentation, Wanderleia Oliveira, of SEBRAE Amazonas, gave a brief presentation giving details of the Project\u2019s central lines and the progress already achieved.<\/p>\n

After the presentations, the audience asked several questions, all showing their interest in learning more about the Project, the producers involved and the indicators already identified.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian Ambassador to France, Paulo C\u00e9sar de Oliveira Campos, greeted the delegation personally and reminded them that there are cooperation agreements between Brazil and France, especially between Amap\u00e1 and French Guiana; this fact marks the beginning of new political-territorial applications of the French-Amap\u00e1 border.<\/p>\n

CHARTRES<\/strong><\/p>\n

On March 23, 2016<\/strong>, the delegation left for the city of Chartres, where the headquarters of the first European Union cosmetics cluster, Cosmetic Valley, are situated.<\/p>\n

Since 2013, Planeta Org\u00e2nico had been promoting a closer relationship between the Structuring Project for Amazon Forest-based Cosmetics and Cosmetic Valley.<\/p>\n

The following synergies of the above-mentioned Project with Cosmetic Valley, which follows an \u201ceco-responsible\u201d standard, were identified:<\/p>\n
