Brazilian producers of family agriculture closed more than R$ 10.5 million (US$ 3,406,000) in business and with prospects for the next twelve months. Through the Special Secretariat for Family Agriculture and Agrarian Development (Sead), they had the opportunity to exhibit their products and get in touch with professionals from different countries.

“The benefits generated by participating in BioFach go beyond closed deals. It is an opportunity to learn about good practices and experiences that can be applied to strengthen Brazilian family agriculture”, said Sead’s special secretary, José Ricardo Roseno.

“Being together with thousands of exhibitors opens an important opportunity for this sector of Brazil (family agriculture) that has a vocation for organic agriculture and for agroecology,” says the general coordinator of Family Agriculture and International Cooperation Sead, Hur Ben Corrêa da Silva.

On the last day of the fair, an evaluation meeting was held with partners and representatives of SEBRAE and the Special Meeting of Family Agriculture of Mercosur (Reaf). They underscored the important points for good negotiations, such as the contacts for scheduling before the fair and the importance of observing products and services that add value to production.
